Surviving the Holidays
Perhaps this is your first holiday without your loved one, or maybe it’s the second, third, or beyond. A few years ago, you probably found yourself complaining about the hectic nature of the holidays. But now that you’re wrestling with grief this holiday season, you’d gladly take those busy times over what you’re going through now.
If you’re thinking about entering the holiday season without a plan, we encourage you to consider how a simple, flexible plan will give you a bit of control over your emotions. Surviving the Holidays participants will each receive a Survival Guide booklet of over 30 daily devotions to help them through the holiday season. The devotions feature insights from GriefShare experts, quotes from people in grief who have been through the holidays, powerful Scriptures, and prayers to help the bereaved keep their focus on the true meaning of the holiday season. The booklet also contains helpful charts and tips to manage the holiday season during this difficult time.
We will host Surviving the Holidays; on Sunday, November 2nd at 3:00 P.M. in Room 110. To register, please call the church office at (256) 236-1325 or visit griefshare.org.
